Please read the information below which outlines the booking procedure / terms & conditions and answers frequently asked questions. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further queries.

 

Booking

Most people make an initial contact about dates and prices. This is not a booking. A booking is only confirmed when the booking form & deposit has been received and cleared. All bookings take effect immediately upon receipt of the clients deposit. Payment of deposit by any method is deemed as the client’s acknowledgments and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Payment of fees

The agreed booking deposit is non refundable and is due strictly within 7 days of initiating the booking. The full balance is payable to LR Disco Entertainment 30 days prior to your event. Unless otherwise agreed with LR Disco Entertainment in advance of the event.

 

Planning your Event

LR Disco Entertainment works with you to ensure that your event is a success. This would include the client providing a playlist for their event. It is important that this playlist is given to the DJ at least 3 weeks before the event. LR Disco Entertainment values our DJ's and we pride themselves in the quality of their work. You can expect the event to reflect what is shown on the website. Look at some of the pictures & comments of previous events to view what you should expect. The DJ will make every effort to ensure his performance is outstanding. The DJ agrees to provide all equipment required to undertake this performance, unless the equipment has been contractually agreed to be provided by the ‘client’ or a third party. The DJ will not display any conduct deemed anti-social, illegal, nor reflecting badly upon themselves, LR Disco Entertainment or the ‘client’. The adjustment of the volume and sound level of any equipment shall be as the client reasonably requires whilst working under any restraints that the venue may apply.

On the day 

Timing - The client must ensure a minimum of one hour to enter a venue and set up prior to the start time and also a similar time allowance at the end of the night to pack up. This time can be reduced if access is good and the DJ is familiar with the venue. If access to the venue is difficult e.g. stairs, distance from unloading area etc. the client agrees to provide assistance with getting all of the DJ’s equipment to and from the required area.

Refreshments - The DJ must be provided with a meal & refreshments throughout the event. No alcohol should be consumed by the DJ.

 

Changes

Occasionally it is necessary for the client to change the events schedule. This needs to be discussed and agreed with LR Disco Entertainment beforehand. Any delayed set up time or subsequent delayed start time due to the overrun of any prior proceedings or of situations being outside of LR Disco Entertainment control will not warrant any extension of the stated finish time or any fee reduction. However, at the sole discretion of the DJ and with the permission of the venue management, an extension of these performing times is occasionally possible. However this will incur an additional fee which must be paid in cash to the DJ before any extra time commences.

 

Music Requests

LR Disco Entertainment will make every reasonable effort to play the requests given prior to the event. He will also play as many additional requests notified by the client and those canvassed from guests during the evening as he can (unless the client has specified that they do not wish guests to make requests). However, there is no guarantee that all requests will be played. The DJ reserves the right to refer any requests of a questionable nature to the client or the venue management.

 

‘DJ’ equipment

The equipment and instruments of the DJ are not available for use by other performers or persons. LR Disco Entertainment accepts no liability for equipment failure/music termination caused by any ‘Sound Limiter’ shutting off the supply of electricity to the DJ’s equipment. All equipment is subject to availability and used according to the rules of the venue and health and safety where we see fit. The client must seek explicit permission from the venue to enable the DJ to use the haze or the bubble machine. This equipment will not be used unless LR Disco Entertainment has been notified in advance of the event that permission has been granted. The client must ensure protection of the DJ’s equipment from adverse weather conditions, where the DJ’s location is not inside a building e.g. gardens, marquees etc. The client will be fully liable for any damage to equipment, caused by adverse weather conditions. Payment for any damaged equipment should be received by LR Disco Entertainment within 7 days of the event or further costs may be charged. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that there is an adequate provision of electrical power within ten metres of the DJ’s set-up point

 

Photos, Filming, and Testimonials

During your event the DJ may take photos or films relavent to the marketing of LR Disco Entertainment. These photos or films may be used on the website or on social networking sites linked to LR Disco Entertainment. If you do not want any photos or films of your event to be used for this purpose please inform me within 48 hours of your event. Written feedback that I receive from events may be used for the purpose of marketing LR Disco Entertainment. This feedback may also appear on the website.

 

Withdrawal Of Services

In the unlikely case of verbal abuse and or physical violence towards the DJ or any person/persons connected with LR Disco Entertainment, the client will be asked to have the person /persons removed from the venue. If an agreement regarding this cannot be resolved then the services of LR Disco Entertainment will be stopped, and the client will be liable for the remainder of any booking fee’s due. In the case of damage being caused to any equipment the client or any person/persons at the event the client will be liable for the remainder of any booking fees due, and the client will also be fully liable for any damage to equipment, payment for any damaged equipment should be received by LR Disco Entertainment, within 7 days of the event or further costs may be charged.

 

Cancellations

By the client

If the client needs to cancel the booking they need to inform LR Disco Entertainment immediately.

Cancellation terms; This agreement is issued on the basis that it should not be cancelled. However, Should unavoidable circumstances arise then the following will apply: cancellation within 90 days then full balance would be payable within 14 days of cancellation or by the function date. However we will always try to accommodate any rescheduling of dates at our discretion. Cancellation must be made in writing. All booking fees are non-refundable.

 

By LR Disco Entertainment

In the very unlikely event that LR Disco Entertainment is unable to honour the booking due to unavoidable circumstances, LR Disco Entertainment agrees to inform the client immediately and make all reasonable attempts to find a suitable replacement DJ of similar standard and style, at no extra cost to the client. Should a suitable replacement not be found, LR Disco Entertainment agrees to refund the client their deposit plus any other booking fees already paid in advance.
